2. Access to the site and server logs

When you open this site, the hosting provider automatically records data in log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, file requested, volume of data transferred, referrer, and browser and operating system details. This processing is necessary for technical operation and to prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted automatically after a short period and are not combined with other data.

3. Hosting

The site is operated at Render Services, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) and delivered via the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). Visitors from Europe are served from European server locations. A transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Data processing agreements are in place with both providers; transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Typefaces

All typefaces are loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider, and no IP address is passed to third parties.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site uses no cookies and no tracking. Only two technically necessary items are stored in your browser's local storage: your chosen language, and a note that the opening screen has already been shown in this session. These remain on your device, are not transmitted, and permit no conclusions about you personally. You may delete them at any time via your browser settings.

6. Getting in touch

The enquiry form on the contact page transmits no data to this site. It opens your own email program with a prepared message. We receive your details only once you send it. We process them solely to answer your enquiry, on the legal basis of Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, and delete them once the matter is closed and no statutory retention periods apply.

7. External links

On the News page we link to publications by third parties. Clicking such a link takes you away from this site; we are not responsible for the data processing of the respective provider.

8. Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Please write to the address given above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
